Biography
Gaetan Langlois-Meurinne is an Interactive Media Designer. He creates stage designs, immersive spaces, and interactive installations. His studies in Interaction Design at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, along with the Master's program in Stage Design at TU Berlin, shaped his interdisciplinary engagement with the connection between new technologies and theatrical spaces.
Since the 2024/25 season, he has been a permanent design assistant at the Schaubühne Berlin, where he works with, among others, Jan Pappelbaum, Katrin Hoffmann (Silence, directed by Falk Richter), Magda Willi (Die Wildente, directed by Thomas Ostermeier), and Anton Lukas (Die Seherin, directed by Milo Rau).
Gaetan Langlois-Meurinne is interested in rethinking existing spaces and making them newly experienceable through the introduction of new formats.
Most recently, he designed the stage set for WIE WIR WERDEN at Schaubühne Berlin, a collaboration with the RambaZamba Theater, MEDEA - MOTHERS MONSTERS WHORES at bat Ernst Busch, CAVE at Tischlerei Deutsche Oper, TROUBLE IN TAHITI at Theater im Palais (Berlin). In 2024, he designed the video for THE UNDOING OF CARMEN at the Copenhagen Opera Festival. In 2023, he contributed to public space installations as part of the Wildwechsel Theater Festival.
Gaetan Langlois-Meurinne lives in Berlin and works on a project basis, including with Rimini Protokoll and NowHere Media.
